Pros: Thinner and lighter than previous models, terrific keyboard and screen

Cons: Wide footprint and not as robustly constructed as the older models

Bottom Line: Thinner and lighter than the competition, but still strictly a business machine

Pros: Incredibly light; big, bright screen; roomy keyboard and improved cursor control

Cons: requires heavy-duty battery; second drive extra; lacks serial or IR port and hibernation unreliable

Bottom Line: Extremely lightweight yet fully functional and durable
